Chocolate chip brownies

Now this is a delicious spin on the good 'ole classic brownies. You can cheat and go to the store and buy the pre-made box mix for this recipe but who are we kidding. You, fellow suzie homemaker, are on here to make an awesome dessert from scratch. So I am going to give you the from scratch recipe on this amazing brownie twist.





Brownie Recipe:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 Tsp salt
1/4 Tsp baking powder


Step 1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray Pam Spray into an 8" square inch pan. I like to use glass so it is easy to tell when the brownies are done.
Step 2.
Melt the butter on the stove or in a microwave. If melted on the stovetop, make sure to take away from the heat. In a bowl, mix the melted butter with the sugar, eggs and vanilla.

Step 3. 
To the wet mixture, beat in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Step 4.
Spread the batter into your baking pan. Set it aside while you mix up the cookie dough.




Cookie dough recipe:

Ingredients: 
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 
1 teaspoon baking soda 
1 teaspoon salt 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 
3/4 cup granulated sugar 
3/4 cup packed brown sugar 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
2 large eggs
2 cups (12 oz. package) Nestle Toll house semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Step 1.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.

Step 2.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.

Step 3.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 4.
Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels.

Step 5.
Drop spoonfuls of batter on top of brownie batter. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until brownies are done.
Let cool about 10 minutes. Cut into squares. Enjoy!!!!
